Countdown app showing the remaining time in journalist Paul Miller's self-imposed exile from the internet. See http://www.theverge.com/2012/5/8/3007525/paul-miller-offline for more details. After reading http://www.theverge.com/2013/2/24/4026142/paul-miller-offline-app I thought to myself "hey, it can't be too hard to create an Android app." Some hacked-together code examples later and I had some text outputting the countdown time. "Okay cool," I now thought to myself, "it can't be too hard to publish this to Google Play then." The registration fee of $25 and a bit of documentation skimming later and I'm typing these words that you're reading!Figured I should publish it on Google Play and get a feel for how all that works, though, so here it is anyways! If, unlike me, you *are* good at programming for Android, feel free to contribute or fork at https://github.com/keithzg/paulmillerisoffline . Espian(dev) (https://github.com/Espiandev) already has, and the app is far better for it, I think you'll agree; nearly all the changes in the last while have been his contributions!Recent changes:New in v1.3.3:-New layout for landscape (should fix rotation crash)-Link to The Verge and to Paul's writings thereon-Toggle 'seconds' display-Controlled Explosion (ie. initial version of an animation to play upon Paul's return)-Now requires ICS; apologies to those on 2.x, we'll see if we can work something out.New in v1.3.1:-Much, much better styling, thanks to https://github.com/Espiandev-Bugfix date/time, maybeContent rating: Medium Maturity
