This small application will let you test network connectivity between your Internet-connected computer and a remote computer. Simply launch the program, fill out the address of the remote computer, and specify how often you want myPing to test connectivity. When the application contacts the remote host, it will announce it with eight system beeps. Among other uses, myPing can come in handy if you want to avoid being disconnected from your ISP for inactivity during the time it takes to download large files.
