Easy CD-DA Extractor includes tools for digital copying from music CDs, music file format conversions, and music CD recording. It rips music CDs, utilizes high-performance, multithreaded, buffered CD-ripping and encoding, and downloads and uploads disc information from/to the FreeDB, the Internet Compact Disc Database. It includes volume normalization and fade in/out functions, copies user-definable samples from songs, supports ID3 tags, and plays Audio CDs digitally. It converts music files between different formats, supports all CD-recorders (CD-recorder parameters are automatically detected), and supports buffer underrun prevention technologies. The new version 5.1 adds an error recovery reading mode, enhances methods for reading copy controlled discs, adds normalization to cover both copy modes, and adds user interface improvements.
