NemaTalker (NMEA talker) provides both the user and the developer of NMEA software and/or hardware with a very powerful testing and simulation tool for up to 6 NMEA instruments, including an extensive GPS simulator. The program will transmit proper NMEA 0183 sentences via a PC serial communications port using the standard RS232 interface or by using the TCP/UDP protocol, facilitating the transmission of NMEA data over a LAN, intra- or Internet. Although the name of the program suggests that it only can act as a NMEA TALKER, it is of course also capable of receiving incoming data, so functioning as NMEA LISTENER as well. Currently the program can simulate the output of 1 to 6 different NMEA instruments simultaneously: GPS, Weather, Sounder, Heading, Velocity, and Radar, plus a feature for custom formatted NMEA sentences. A great tool to test your navigation software.
