If your plans change, no problem. Need a map of an unknown city? No problem, you're wireless!Download multiple maps & routes, and navigate with GPS, on Palm Computing Platforms. Maps & routes can be downloaded from DeLorme's unlimited-access map server, and from several of DeLorme's popular CD-based mapping products, such as Street Atlas USA, TopoUSA and 3-D TopoQuads. For customers with wireless capable devices maps and door-to-door routes can be downloaded wirelessly for an additional yearly access fee (contact DeLorme for more information). Solus Pro also enables a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver to be connected to the handheld computer. In addition to seeing your GPS location on a moving map (the "You are here" feature), other viewing options include such output as latitude/longitude, speed, heading, altitude, time to next turn, distance to next turn, tripometer, average speed, and others.A free trial version is offered in Solus Basic, available from PalmGear or GPS receiver and adapter cable (sold separately) are required to activate the GPS tracking capabilities of Solus Pro.
