MiniFonts SimpleSetter is a small utility for setting pixel fonts quickly and accurately. It is not intended to replace your favourite image editor but offers several advantages when it comes to typesetting pixel fonts. The main one is simplicity. SimpleSetter always sets the fonts at the correct size and resolution without fuzzy anti-aliasing. Some image editors just can't do this. Then, to keep things simple, it only lists appropriate fonts in its font menu. From there, it acts just like a text editor where you can choose the typeface, enter the text, change its colour and position it with pixel accuracy. A special 'Utilities Palette' allows you to enter all the characters in a font just by clicking on them. This is especially useful for characters that are difficult to access from a regular keyboard or for pictorial fonts that usually require you to look up a chart to find the correct key to press.
