The Agent is the software application installed on your computer that manages the backup and retrieval of your files. The Agent connects, via the Internet or local intranet, to a facility called the Data Center to back up your files. Your backups are then stored at the Data Center until a time when you might need to retrieve one, many, or all of your backed up files. At that time, the Agent can connect with the Data Center and download the appropriate files.Scheduled and Manual BackupsThe Agent can automatically back up files according to a pre-set time schedule. You can also manually back up files at any time without waiting for the Agent to perform the scheduled backup.File SecurityYour files are secure while being transmitted between the Agent and the Data Center because the Agent encrypts your files before backing them up.
