ImgX is an imaging toolkit that enables Visual Basic developers to add complex, powerful imaging functionality to your applications with little effort. ImgX is an apartment-threaded, ActiveX in-process dll server. It's object model is setup to tailor both beginning and advanced users. It contains many object classes that can be accessed through the ImgX object which support specific categories of functionality. For instance, to rotate an image the Rotate method of the Effects object may be called. ImgX has an object hierarchy that allows image data to be imported, manipulated and then exported. If you wish for the image to be displayed on the screen, you must supply the interface. However, ImgX does provide the ability to Render an image and to export to OLE picture objects to make this task easier. Some of the base imaging functionality within ImgX is provided by ImgSource, developed by Smaller Animals, Inc. This dependant ImgSource dll is included with ImgX.
