The VB Application Server allows a Visual Basic developer to take a VB 6 program and expose its GUI contents as if it were a web application. For example if you have written VB 6 programs that collect data on a form, such as labels and text boxes, this program allows you to compile and deploy the solution as a web site. The label, text box, progress bar, Command Button, Option Button, Combo Box, Frame, Web Links, Images, Form, Win32 NonGui controls, Menus, MsgBox, TextArea, HFlexGrid, and web Links are all supported. New events are also fired. MultiUser mode is supported. All persisted users, session IDs and state information is kept. The demo includes a fully functioning web site that can be deployed on the developers computer to see all included source code in the samples directory. This is all packaged in an easy to use User Control, named NewHTTP.ocx. This will be available from the VB toolbox. It is very easy to use, and includes the msgbox redirector.
