The IDAutomation Universal 2D Barcode Font is a single font file that is used to generate two-dimensional barcodes from Aztec, DataMatrix, PDF417 and QR-Code font encoders. MaxiCode is created with a proprietary font included in the purchased version of the 2D Font Package.
Updates to the 2020 package include:
Updated the TTF and OTF 2D fonts to format better to various device screen resolutions and printers and updated digital signatures.
Updated all font encoder products in the licensed version, including the encoders in the Developer Tools, with an optimized algorithm for ASCII and C40 modes to allow more data to be encoded in a smaller symbol for Data Matrix.
Added Image Overlay (Center Override) and GS1-QRCode encoding capability to all components in the package (except legacy ActiveX).
Added .NET Standard 2.0 & .NET Core 2.0 source code in C# and VB.NET with examples and an assembly for QR Code.
The Font Encoder is required to format data into a text pattern that will generate a 2D symbol with the IDAutomation2D font. Implementation instructions and examples are provided in the User Manual of the corresponding Font and Encoder product. With a purchase of the Developer License or above, a full set of Web Fonts are included in WOFF, EOT and SVG formats to easily display barcodes in any web browser.
