HumanityThunder is a standard Windows service application written in C# .NET that provides background processing support for IIS Web Servers. It keeps ASP.NET Web sites refreshed to the server's cache. The HumanityThunder Internet Web Server utility works by making asynchronous Web requests to the Web sites and pages that are defined in its XML configuration file. Every 4 or 5 minutes this application cycles through your Web sites loading their primary Web pages into the Web server's cache. 3.1.1028 added a third page to the application's XML configuration file. When this attribute is set, the target web page will be accessed once per hour and can be used to run hourly application "tasks" such as database cleanups, etc. Microsoft SQLExpress 2005 (free) and shipped with this product does not have the database jobs engine of the larger commercial offering. This new feature of HumanityThunder compensates for this shortcoming.
