Tresor allows the encryption of confidential files and folders. The new version is fully adapted to Carbon and so well prepared for the new operating system MacOS X, announced by Apple Computer for March 24. Tresor uses IDEA™ (International Data Encryption Algorithm), a block encryption algorithm that uses a key length of 128 bits. IDEA™ was developed at the Institute for Signal and Information Processing of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich, and is regarded as the most secure block encryption algorithm publicly available today. Tresor 1.2 has been released in German and English versions.
