The goal of this Infant Endotracheal Intubation app is to enhance health care providers knowledge and skill related to the neonatal intubation procedure utilizing current evidence-based practice, focusing on the current guidelines of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association. This app provides the opportunity to learn and practice the psychomotor skills related to various aspects of the procedure and complications that may occur. It also provides three case studies where you can simulate intubating a newborn baby. The overall goal of this app is to enhance knowledge, increase patient safety, decrease the number of intubation attempts and allow for practice-based learning. This app was developed in partnership with the Yale School of Medicine and mySmartSimulations, Inc. with content expertise provided by INSPIRE and funding provided by the R Baby Foundation. iPad2 or greater recommended for best performance.
