This OS X driver supports interleave mode. The DIGI96 series cards should therefore work with any audio software under OS X.The driver has been adapted to the meet the capabilities of OS X. When operating the card, the user has to change the output format (ADAT or SPDIF) in the Settings dialog. The input format is detected automatically. SPDIF always uses channels 1+2. Nevertheless the card shows up as 8-channel device all the time. The latency under CoreAudio no longer depends on the card's hardware buffer. Therefore, with faster computers, it is now possible to use the DIGI96 series cards at latencies down to 1.5 ms (64 samples), while under OS 9.x and Windows the lowest latency is 5.8 ms.
