What is Sudoku? It is a brainteaser coming from Japan, very popular in many countries around the world. There are scientific researches describing the mathematics behind Sudoku, and many teachers recommend it as improving logical thinking, but foremost it is a very enjoyable and intelligent game. There is only one very simple rule: Fill in the grid so that every column, every row and each of the nine 3 x 3 boxes contains all digits from 1 through 9. Sounds easy? Try it out! The aim of Sudoku Companion is to make solving Sudoku puzzles more convenient. It is very Mac-like and it has all necessary and expected features: multiple undos, notes in each cell, every move is validated, you can save and load a puzzle or print it out and much, much more. Sudoku Companion has also some additional options built in but be careful and use them wisely. They can change simple puzzles into boring ones but at the same time they can help you to concentrate on the strategy when you are solving really difficult Sudokus. Sudoku Companion won’t solve anything for you, that would ruin all the fun, but it will allow you to enjoy solving Sudokus on your Mac without paper, pencil and bottles of Tipp-Ex.
