Automates Apples Disk First Aid to verify all disks at once. Checks the startup disk last (since its more likely to be busy if you run AutoCheck at startup. Disk First Aid cant check a busy disk). Tries user-set number of times to check busy disks. Skips read-only disks such as CDs and remote volumes such as servers. While recent OS versions optionally run Disk First Aid automatically after a hard crash, this checks the startup disk only. Since so much disk damage is incremental, the quick preventative measure of running AutoCheck at every startup is well worth it.
