PodMaster 1000 is a small utility that was written for my convenience. Makes the moving of files from the iPod to a second computer easier by listing all the songs on the iPod and allowing the transfer of selected songs to a folder of choice. Featuritis has crept in and now you can view some of the ID Tags of most song. Currently supported are ID3v2, ID3v3, and ID2v1. There are other variations such as ID3v3.2 that will give false readings to PodMaster since its use of ID tags if crude and there are wonderful programs such as MP3 Rage that already exist for full ID tag fun. Tried to use the tags to display the song titles but it takes too long to read and decode one thousand files so you only get the information on demand. An additional feature allows the user to make the invisible folders on the iPod visible, read the iPod serial number and show the free space left. This was how it all started. If you double-click on a song, PodMaster can play the song for you also without having to open iTunes. Since this is beta software it comes as is, with no warranty, use at your own risk, your mileage will vary. PodMaster is a carbonized application made with RealBasic™ but has not been tested extensively in MacOS X.
