Podpourri provides a simple way to search songs on an attached iPod via regular expressions and copy them either to a single folder or a tree of folders on your local machine. Songs can be searched with various attributes, like title, artist or album. Also, Podpourri takes such song result sets and writes them as simple XML and PDF files. In case of PDF files, if the search comprises the title attribute, the PDF "index-print" will contain clickable URLs linked to the songs on your iPod. What happens when you click them depends on your default browser's settings. Podpourri was written mostly in order to be able to quickly extract songs from an iPod while maintaining a certain tree view to them, but also to be able to work with the information about the songs in external applications. Playlists are currently not yet supported, but are on the wishlist.
