About Tax EstimatorCreated by Jon Paul Miles (Coding Friend) When you're self-employed it's difficult to know how much to set aside in savings each month for quarterly payments. There's not a lot of great tools out there for calculating taxes or at least seeing if you're in the right ballpark. Most apps take you through pages of forms before you can see results. My solution - A simple and quick tool for understanding how much to set aside each month for taxes. Estimate your monthly and yearly income based on your hours and wage. Take standard deductions and exceptions or type your own deductions. Shows Adjusted Gross Income and estimated quarterly payments and withholdings. You can adjust federal withholdings individually. Add self employed income and wages. Choose between married filing together, separate, head of household, or single. It even calculates Personal Exemption Phaseout for high income earners. Bonus Feature: See Trumps's proposed 2017 tax and how it would affect your income. Don't use this as your only method of checking your taxes. There are other deductions some may use that this app doesn't calculate and it doesn't calculate alternative minimum tax or itemized deduction phase outs. Your income is remembered locally on your phone's cache and never goes to a server so it remains private to your phone.
