Hanzi Recognizer is an open source Chinese to English dictionary and handwriting recognition program. The Hanzi Recognizer is broken up into Characters, Strokes, and the form. Characters are made up of a certain set of strokes. A stroke is defined by anything that is pen down until pen up. When finding the best match, it looks at each stroke written and scores every character in the database. When everything is finished, it will return the top 5 results. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
