The answer is the Marion Chamber of Commerce is the region's largest and most active Chamber with more than 550 members representing more than 350 area businesses, organizations, and industries. The Chamber supports the growth of business in the region and keeps a constant communication with local and state officials regarding legislative issues affecting all businesses. Business Advocacy: The Chamber is the organized voice of business for the Marion area. We look for potential opportunities and challenges for our area and work with our members to continue making this the best possible place to live and work. Business Seminars: Seminars on topics of interest to our membership are offered regularly. Chamber Committees One of the best networking opportunities available through the Chamber is for you to be a part of one of our many active committees. Chamber Monthly Luncheons: The Marion Chamber of Commerce has the deserved reputation as having the best-attended membership luncheons. Featured speakers address topics that are current and relevant to our members. City and County Maps: The Chamber publishes a map every two to three years that is used distribute to all who inquire. The advertising panels on the map are available to Chamber members only. Email blast fliers: Members may place PDF versions of fliers in our weekly email blasts. This is an economical way to provide information about your business, advertise an event, distribute a coupon and more! Events: The Chamber keeps members connected with area events and has a full calendar of Chamber events to keep members connected with each other and the community.Marion Community Profile Book: This book is used for economic development. It lists twelve vital areas of our community that a potential new business, organization or resident would be interested in. Only Chamber members are allowed to advertise in this book. Member Discounts: When you are a member of the Marion Chamber of Commerce, you have access to many discounts provided by other Chamber members. Discounts include radio and newspaper coupons, insurance discounts (commercial and personal), mobile telephone discounts, banking incentives and more! These discounts often cover the cost of membership! Membership Mailing List: To assist members with their own direct mailings, our mailing list is available on labels to our members for $35 per set or for free for an electronic copy of the mailing list. We do not provide our e-mail list for distribution. Racks for Member Information: Rack space is available for members to display their business brochures and business cards for visitors to our office. Referrals: The Chamber staff responds to hundreds of inquires each year by referring our members to individuals requests for information about area businesses, organizations, etc. Members ONLY are referred as business leads. Resources: Public references, community demographics, lists of major employers, local and area phone directories, lists of clubs and organizations, local maps, and lists of local, area, state and national legislative contacts are available at the Chamber office.
