|System Requirements||DSP-Quattro works on any Apple Macintosh™ with a PowerPC microprocessor. The minimum requirements are: a CPU 604 with second level cache, 32 MBytes of RAM, and 10 MBytes of free space on your HD. However we recommend the use of a Macintosh G4 400 or better, 128 MBytes of RAM, and 10 MBytes of free space on the HD, for better performance. Please consider also that the performances of DSP-Quattro are heavily dependant by the number of plug-ins and effects that are used at the same time. DSP-Quattro 1.0 'Classic' requires MacOS 8.6 or better, anyhow we recommend the use of MacOS 9.2. DSP-Quattro 1.0 'Os X' for MacOS X requires MacOS 10.2 (Jaguar) or newer. Macintosh standard audio interface can be used with DSP-Quattro through the Apple SoundManager, included into the MacOS. NOTE: Be aware of not using virtual memory. When you start DSP-Quattro, it tells you if the virtual memory is turned on. The use of virtual memory can greatly decrease system performance, causing sudden audio silence and even system crashes. Optionally, if you want to play VSTi Instruments loaded into DSP-Quattro by MIDI, DSP-Quattro for MacOS 8/9 requires the presence of OMS drivers. The latest version, 2.3.8 at the time of writing, can be found at www.opcode.com. DSP-Quattro supports VST plug-ins and hardware audio interface handled by ASIO and CoreAudio drivers. Under MacOS 8/9, the ASIO Drivers are required when using hardware interfaces that are not compatible with Apple SoundManager.|
