pInstaller is a Free, Open Source installer written in Delphi 7. While pInstaller is powerful enough to be used as a general purpose installer, it was designed with the PalmOS developer in mind. It includes facilities that make it easy to install PalmOS applications and conduits. If you've installed handX webLog, Lingo or corpLink or even our hXPiCS Demo, you've seen the pInstaller in action. You can freely download pInstaller and use it to build your own installation packages. You can call this progam from within one of the normal install builders like InstallShield or Wise, or you can simply create a self extracting executable containing "pInstaller.exe" to install conduits, Palm files, or basic Windows programs. pInstaller uses a simple file that details the conduit settings and Palm applications to install, and what file to run after installation (if any). You can specify required or optional files to be installed on the PC or on Palm Devices registered with HotSync. It also allows you to generate registry settings in the Hive that your conduit has been installed into (e.g HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\U.S. Robotics\Pilot Desktop\Application5). pInstaller will even generate an uninstall entry with Windows.
