Chiang Rai Hotspot Application, an android application, is a geospatial application which displays the location of the wildfire (hotspot). According to data from the Agency Fire Information for Resource Management System (FIRMS) of the Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS): NASA. It can update the data every five minutes, with automatic notification system including statistical graphs of district or sub-district and detailed geographic coordinates of each point with a navigation system which is a part of the support networks for protecting smoke haze problem in Chiang Rai concretely.Specification- Positioning the hotspot on the map of both geographic coordinates including UTM and LAT-LONG.- Alert the new hotspots within five minutes of receiving information from NASA.- Linking to the navigation of Google Map.- Displaying the highest number of hotspots in a day statically.- Displaying a detailed schedule of all hotspots for monitoring and controlling forest fires.- Hotline.Performance by running applications in a range between 1 to 31 March 2016 (A very common wildfire over one year). It is used as a tool to track and resolve wildfire. Moreover, it can contribute to the awareness of officials (forest keeper) and government agencies. It leads to the creation of a network of anti-smoke haze problem and the hotspots information of Chiang Rai Hotspot Application is linked in the Line groups of staff. In a joint report of hotspots, the implementation of the authorities can control the situation in all sectors to resolve the smoke haze. As a result, the networks of Chiang Rai province are committed to resolve the problems of forest fires and smoke haze problem concretely.This project creating a network for the protection and monitoring of the burned area in the five pilot communities in Chiang Rai with hotspot detector on their smart phones is supported by Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (BEDO) and National Council of Thailand for research fund 2016.
