California Wildflowers

There are over 6,000 kinds of plants known to occur in California. Over 400 of some of the most beautiful are included iPhone field guide, with over 600 color photos. More photos and species will be included in future updates. These wildflower images have been selected from previously released Hartman Multimedia cd-roms (California Wildflowers, Sierra Nevada Wildflowers, Death Valley Wildflowers, Joshua Tree National Park Wildflowers, and Anza-Borrego Wildflowers); look for iPhone applications for these regions coming soon!The user interface is designed to make use in the field as fast as possible. (Sierra Nevada - 322; Southwestern California - 253; Central Western California - 215 Northwestern California - 211; Desert Province - 146; Cascade Ranges - 176; Great Basin Province - 123; and Great Central Valley - 116).Also see SMMPlants - Plants of the Santa Monica Mountains, which contains over 400 photos for more than 300 species in the Santa Monica Mountains. The narrower range makes it easier to identify species in that area.
