SilverFast SE is a new solution from LaserSoft Imaging which combines the best of both worlds: high-end imaging technology for very low cost. Images will especially benefit from SilverFast's intelligent auto-adjust and LAB-based unsharp-masking, which does not sharpen the color noise of single channels, hence avoiding the extra noise. There are many of the marvelous highlights of the full SilverFast Ai, such as: Real-time correction Auto-adjust with artificial intelligence Professional unsharp masking Color-cast removal slider Simple selective color correction RGB-TIFF and JPEG output formats SilverFast SE's ScanPilot guides the novice user through the optimum steps for brilliant images.SilverFast can also be upgraded to SilverFast Ai Standard with SilverFast IT8-Calibration and JobManagement. This allows batch correction and processing on the fly. Version 6 Highlights: Smart Removal of Defects Adaptive Colour Restoration Professional USM sharpening Color Management QuickTime Movies help SilverFast now supports the following models: FilmScan 35, 1800, 2700, 3600 ScanMaker V6 USL, X12 USL, X6, E3, E6, ScanMaker 330, 630, 636 ScanMaker 5700, 5900, 6100, 6400 XL, 9600 XL ScanMaker III, 4, 5, s400 ScanMaker i700, i800Multi-Sampling for efficient noise reduction and dynamic range enhancement i700, i800, i900, and 1000XL activated. Auto Frame Detection - automatically creates frames for all images in the prescan NegaFix enhanced - automatically reduces colorcasts when scanning negatives New NegaFix Profiles allow for more detailed corrections. SilverFast Ai-HDR Gamma Optimization further synchronizes 48bit scanning between SilverFast Ai / Ai Studio and image editing with SilverFast HDR / HDR Studio. Scan frame: Look of scan frame changed. Instead of cross-hairs for rotating half-arcs can be used now. Also active frame is blinking in order to be noticed easier. When scanning with SE versions without default ICC or input profile, scans could on certains conditions be affected by increased color noise due to an otherwise minor bug as a side effect - fixed.
