Luminary: Rise of the GoonZu is a mixture of community, capitalism, and politics all rolled into this truly unique Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG). Unlike a traditional MMO, there are no set classes to choose from when players create their characters. Instead there are numerous skills that a player can specialize in as they progress through the game, giving them a highly customized and unique character. Unlike many other MMORPGs, in Luminary players have power and influence over each town's economy. Players are encouraged to develop a craft in order to supply the town's demands for various goods, including weapons, armors, foods, medications, ironware, and tools. Furthermore, Luminary offers real-time trading of stocks, real estate and other commodities. If a player has a more political aspiration they can work towards gaining power, possibly even gaining the position of "GoonZu" the leader of world of Luminary. The "GoonZu" is elected into power by their peers and have the responsibility of regulating the in game world. Whether it be setting taxes, creating laws or electing new officials the GoonZu is responsible for ensuring the world is running smoothly and efficiently.
