Overview:

File Policy Enforcer allows system admins to create and enforce file policies on Windows systems. A file policy ensures that users and applications use file resources according to specified rules, thus making sure that file usage/storage comply with regulations available, and avoids system outages due to lack of resources. Users can create multiple policies. Policy targets can be be directories or Active Directory containers from where users' home directories and mail adresses are extracted. It is possible to use File count, -size and/or extensions as selection criteria. Warning notification or file removal as policy actions, flexible definition of time periods and time/date values, E-mail notifications and templates with scan codes, and wild card based exclusion of files are supported. The application runs as a service and available all the time. It is configurable via a simple set of parameters in a configuration file.
