Overview:
OutWit Docs is a simple document finder which automatically searches the Web for various types of documents and downloads them directly onto your hard disk. The search results are presented in one, easy-to-use window so there is no scrolling through pages of results to find the information that you are seeking. OutWit Docs explores any Web site and common search engines and will find multiple types of documents, including Office (DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX), CSV, SWF, or PDF files, simultaneously, or you can chose a specific type. You can do many searches in a row and the program will keep the list of results for each search. OutWit Docs will save multiple files with just a simple click of a button or you have the option to automatically save all incoming files. Its other automatic functions include auto-browsing and auto-catching. The Catch is your collection basket where you can move documents to be saved or to work with them later. There are also various sorting and filtering options that can be applied to the results before saving them or when auto-catching. OutWit Docs is a free Firefox 3 extension and is compatible with Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
