Overview:
FlexMap is a free vector based map drawing tool that you can use to create self-describing maps for many of Racingspider Games' utilities and games. All of the information concerning the map: movement cost, defensive value, detection cost and texture (the fill bitmap) are all stored inside the map. FlexMap's easy to use interface allows you to draw features and layer them to create the desired terrain. Features can also be layered on top of each other to create combinations (for example, wooded terrain placed on top of hilly terrain give wooded hills). This, combined with the ability to have nearly unlimited features (the more features, the larger the map file) will allow you to create any world you can dream up.This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
