Overview:
Smart General Ledger (SGL) is an easy to use software implementation of an Accounting General Ledger. A General Ledger records all transactions that occur within your company. SGL employs classic double-entry bookkeeping. But as a user of SGL, you do not need to know anything about double-entry bookkeeping. SGL creates appropriate accounts and entry shortcuts for you so that you can focus on running your business, not your accounting software. A full audit trail of all information entered into SGL is maintained for subsequent lookups and reconciliation. SGL does not require specification of accounting periods or posting of closing entries. With SGL, you can prepare a Balance Sheet, an Income Statement and a Trial Balance over any time period, and at anytime. SGL also supports data entry in multiple currencies. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
