Overview:

The Omnis Web Client plug-in lets you view Omnis Studio applications on the Internet or your Intranet using a standard Web browser. The Omnis Web Client is a free ActiveX or Netscape plug-in which is embedded into HTML pages. Users download the Web Client plug-in, which is around 1mb to download, to their browser in order to view the application's remote forms and interact with the remote database. To develop a Web Client application you will need to design an Omnis remote form class and a Web page to display the form, although Omnis Studio does contain many wizards to help you build Web forms and html pages. The Omnis Studio IDE contains many Web components including Sidebar, paged pane, data and string grid, standard entry fields, pushbuttons, tree lists and other list types. These Web components are implemented as external components so it is easy to create your own. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
