You will be interested in DB2Viewer which answers you all these questions. DB2Viewer is a tool that gives the ability to view db2diag.log file where the DB2 messages are stored. DB2View can directly read the diag file in windows, but the diag file in unix and linux has to be copied manually to the XP desktop for viewing.
