Overview:

To obtain this goal a particular game and physics engine was developed, an engine capable to reproduce parameters like players walk acceleration or ball correct rebounds under spinning. The techniques used for this game allow good playability on low performance PCs too, fundamental requirement for a budget level product. The result is a game based on a lightweight graphic engine and a very accurate physics and game-play engine. The graphics, in 65000 colors, is based on 3D rendered backgrounds and players drawn using digitized frames. The game is coded using DirectX, so its compatible with most part of available PC configurations. The Art of Tennis features a particular and innovative control system. Its possible to walk around the field and aim the shoot direction using the same keys. The system is very intuitive and grants an optimal playability.
