Overview:

Full simulation capabilities of the OMNEST Simulation Environment using pre-compiled simulations and GUI can be explored. OMNEST is a multi-platform, open source simulation environment. OMNEST is a flexible and extensible framework with strong GUI support and an embeddable simulation kernel. OMNEST excels in the design and validation of communication protocols and in architectural design and because of its generic and flexible approach, it has been successfully used in other areas like the simulation of IT systems, queuing networks, hardware architectures, and business processes as well. The package contains executable demo simulations for several model frameworks written for OMNEST/OMNeT++: the INET Framework (TCP, IP, Ethernet, and MPLS), the Mobility Framework (wireless mobile and ad-hoc networks), for SimSANs (for simulating Storage Area Networks), and OMNEST/OMNeT++ example simulations. Includes full documentation and a Guided Tour for the INET Framework.
