Overview:
DuctSizer calculates the friction loss in a section of duct. The user can choose from three different types of duct construction, and rectangular or round. The program allows the user to input multiple sections and view the overall results. Output can be exported to excel. A perfect tool for the designer or trouble-shooter who is away from the office!Some of the new exciting features of DuctSizer are:PalmOS 5 compatible with support for Palm Hi-Res (320x320Select your language! DuctSizer includes support for English, Spanish and GermanQuick, tap-only input allows you to do a calculation without using GraffitiCall the system calculator while editing a section of duct, perform a calculation, then return to DuctSizer.UPDATES:Version 4.2 now includes support for Spanish and German! Also includes Palm hi-res (320x320) support, and other user interface improvements such as tap-only input and calculator operations while editing a duct section.6/29/02 - Version 4.1 fixed a link error in the velocity calculation for rectangular duct between the size calculation and the friction calculation. This is only a functional issue unless the database is imported into excel.6/28/02 - Version 4.0 is completely redesigned to be faster, smaller, and more efficient. The same great program with a better interface and drastically reduced computing time!Now requires MathLib to be installed on your device.3/6/02 - Version 3.2.2 added support for PalmOS 3.0 and higher. Other minor modifications for performance.1/10/02 - Version 3.2 fixed an error in the calculation of the hydraulic diameter on the Rectangular Duct Calcs screen.1/8/02 - Version 3.1 allows the user to enter either: (1) the airflow and duct size to calculate the friction rate, or (2) the airflow and the desired friction rate to calculate the duct size.12/27/01 - Version 3.0 now supports SI units as well as IP units.
