Overview:

The Questing Knights are returning. In 4996 the Emperor sent them to the far reaches of the Known Worlds, charged with recovering the Lost Worlds of humanity. They set forth in craft of diverse worth, investigating old legends, studying ancient lore, battling fiendish enemies, all to discover the routes to these missing planets. Many have died. Some have succeeded. Those who succeeded discovered a universe even more fractured than they feared. On some worlds humanity had sunk to levels of barbarism from which it might never recover. On others Earth's descendants maintained the ancient technology, but used it to wage war against their neighbors. The Knights encountered these and worse. Now the other denizens of the heavens have become aware of the Empire. They see the opportunity inherent in these new worlds, and their own fleets prepare to contest their rulership. Now you can join these adventurous souls in their voyages. It is a chance for anyone to carve out a new empire or die in the attempt.
