Overview:

In order to use the rainMOD, in your map you have to add several rainMaker objects. These should be added by right clicking on the _CEILING_ not the floor. The rain drops fall from these rainMaker classes, so they need to be high up. The rainMakers have three important porperties to set: RainDensity--this should be a value between 0 and 1.0 and the higher it is, the more rain that gets generated; MaxDrops--this can be used to limit the amount of rain that falls from one rainmaker. This can easily be left as the default of 256 for most cases. If you need to reduce the rain in order to improve performance in an area, then decrease this number; CollisionRadius--if you switch the overhead view to Actor->Radii view then you will see the outline of the radius of the rainmaker. This is the radius used to determine where each rain drop may fall. I suggest a number of between 64 and 128. 64 for thick, dense rain and 128 for light rain/drizzle. I suggest setting radius to 80, maxdrops to 256 and rainDensity to 0.99 then make several rainmakers that overlap. this creates a fairly heavy rain fall that is fine for most purposes without being too much of a strain on the system. There are no sound effects included woth this MOD. If you create a rain shower pitter-patter style sound, it really makes the effect more believable.
