Overview:

Use AmTapi in your application to make and answer telephone calls, detect caller ID on incoming calls, detect remote party DTMF key press tones, generate DTMF tones, enumerate the installed telephony devices, and translate the telephone number according to the user's settings in the Windows dialing rules dialog, plus more. Build computer telephony integration systems (CTI), interactive voice response systems (IVR), voicemail, audiotext, automated attendants, and so on. AmTapi can be used in conjunction with AmWave to play and record voice streams, or AmComm to send and receive data streams. AmTapi Lite is a TAPI compliant telephony control. TAPI is the Telephony API, jointly developed by Intel and Microsoft, the standard for all 32-bit Windows versions. TAPI enables applications to share telephony devices with each other and provides a common means of handling different media voice, data, and so on, on a wide range of telephony hardware platforms. As an ActiveX COM control AmTapi can be used in the many development environments that support ActiveX controls, including Visual Basic, .Net, Visual C++, Microsoft's Office products, C++ Builder, PowerBuilder, and so on.
