Overview:
Units is not you momââ?¬â?¢s unit converter. it does not convert pounds to kilograms. Pounds are in the ââ?¬Å?forceââ?¬? dimension, kilograms are in ââ?¬Å?mass.ââ?¬? When you try this you will get units of acceleration, because thatââ?¬â?¢s what Newton said should happen. Units comes with a database that covers not only the basic dimensions like length, time, mass, electric charge, but also includes certain physical constants and astronomical observations. If you find a dimension you need, you can add it. If you donââ?¬â?¢t find a unit you need, you can add it. Units gives you a symbol keyboard that Apple doesnââ?¬â?¢t provide so you get access to common scientific unit names and notations.
