Overview:

FoldersSynchronizer is a nifty and popular utility for Macintosh (Classic and Mac OS X Tiger Panther and Jaguar) which synchronizes and backs-up files, folders and disks. The user can choose one or more pairs of files/folders/disks and then they will be synchronized/backed-up exactly. Some features:FS can backup the whole MacOS X boot disk and make it bootable.FS can sync/backup the deleted files/folders (Exact Sync feature and Exact Backup feature).FS allows creating, renaming, duplicating, deleting, editing of multiple Sessions in a single document.FS can execute in a single task, all the Sessions defined in the Session List.FS can assign to each session, different Settings, Multiple List, Timers, Exclude List, Filters, Conflicts.FS can create, save and open ?Sessions Files?.FS can execute a Session at the time you specify in the timer list.FS can execute multiple synchronizations/backup (up to 32 pairs of folders) specified by a single Session.FS can filter the documents to copy by FileName, Type, Creator, Creation and Modification Date and Kind.FS can exclude, from the sync or backup, the folders and files you specify in the Excluding item list.FS can copy invisible Files and Folders.FS can include/unlock the locked files, so it can delete/replace also the locked files.FS can resolve aliases and SYM links.FS can check whether both the files have been modified after the last Backup.FS can stop or skip or ask for further instruction, if an error occurs.FS can show the "Items to be copied" Preview List.FS can save/display short or detailed Log Files (always or only if an error occurred).FS can send the Log Text via Email to a custom email address (always or only if an error occurred).FS works properly on Long file names, Unix permissions, Multiple forks, Forks > 2GBytes, SYM links and GMT Date/Time.FS allows drag and drop of source and destination folders/files.FS can work in background (multithreading). Registered copies have no limit to the amount of files/bytes to be copied. FS uses a buffer memory when copying each file. Never needing additional memory, it can quickly copy GBs and GBs of data. CNET Editor's Review: Data-backup sticklers will insist you need an archive utility with tons of features and round-the-clock support, but this affordable shareware alternative delivers a still-impressive feature set at a fraction of the cost of commercial programs. FoldersSynchronizer X provides an easy (if somewhat awkward at first) interface for synchronizing or backing up files, folders, and disks.Read the entire review.
