Overview:
The Game Monitor works nicely alongside LP-WebChess. It gives you an icon on your system tray and an optional floating icon that stay red when it's not your move in any of your chess games and turn green when it is. You can also configure the Game Monitor to play a sound or display a message when it's your move. When it is your move, getting to the game page is simple, as you just need to double-click on one of the icons. Right-clicking on one of them will bring up a menu containing shortcuts to the other web pages of LP-WebChess. There are two connection modes to choose from. The default mode sets the program to simply connect to the Lamer Productions server and check your game status at regular intervals (e.g. 10 minutes). The alternative mode sets the Game Monitor to act as a server, listening for connections from Lamer Productions which notify it of any updates immediately (e.g. as soon as someone moves in a game). This is useful when playing live games.
