Overview:
The Download Toolbar for Microsoft Internet Explorer is a download manager, an image viewer, and an image organizer. It makes the Internet Explorer the only application needed for finding, downloading, and viewing pictures. The toolbar doesn't just download pictures, though; it handles all file types, including movies, documents, MP3 and ZIP files. The download button in the toolbar starts a download session from the current web page. The files linked to from the web page, either directly or indirectly, are downloaded and stored in a gallery on the hard disk. The toolbar uses the same cookies and sessions as the Internet Explorer, so there are no problems downloading from password-protected sites. The navigation buttons in the toolbar let you browse through the downloaded files. Downloaded pictures can be viewed as a slideshow within the Internet Explorer. The toolbar lets you categorize downloaded files and perform searches within them based on the categorization. A button in the toolbar changes the Internet Explorer's security level. This prevents malicious scripts from running and disables pop-up windows. Another useful tool converts text that looks like links to real links.
