As multi-threaded web applications become increasingly popular due to the advances of the Microsoft .Net framework, many web administrators are finding it more difficult to keep their sites alive and running. In addition, background compiling of a web site takes valuable time, in which potential customers may be lost. How do administrators keep their sites actively compiled on the web server? SmarterPing is a Windows Service built around solving this problem. SmarterPing will hit selected web pages at regular intervals to keep them alive on the server.
