Overview:

Redmond, WA, May 6, 2005 — Runtime Logic, Inc. announced today the release of Move 1.1 with the new Move Desktop Viewer. Move is a groundbreaking product that enables web designers with no experience with Flash to quickly and easily produce content-rich Flash websites. Runtime Logic is offering a free 30-day, no-obligation trial of Move at http://trymove.com. A Move website is created by defining simple text-based files. When someone views a Move website, Move's patent-pending technology dynamically presents Flash content to the user. In creating a Move website, the designer specifies the hierarchical structure and the layout of the site separately from the content of the site. This separation enables the designer to make changes to any one of these elements without affecting the others. Designers can create flexible, dynamic websites using Move more quickly than they could using HTML or Macromedia® Flash®. Move websites are also much easier to maintain and expand than traditional websites, making Move an ideal technology for growing companies. Another novel feature of Move is its integrated support for localization of websites. Designers can easily create multiple versions of each page and viewers of the site can switch between localizations on the fly. Move websites support dynamic resizing when they are viewed—text in a page layout is dynamically positioned based on the size of the browser window. Because the pages are dynamically rendered, changes to content do not require rebuilding a Flash movie. The ease of making content changes in Move frees designers to create Flash websites with a lot more content than a typical Flash website. Websites designed using Move also have the advantage of cross-browser compatibility that Flash provides.
