Overview:
Currently Microsoft Excel for Mac takes on average several minutes to perform vertical lookups on data in separate worksheets. I have built this little application out of necessity - I was going crazy waiting 10 minutes for a vertical lookup on a G5 that takes 2 minutes on a PC. Now I've developed something in Perl that takes 3 seconds. It's only simple, but it does the job well. Give it 2 tab delimited files and an output file will be created on the desktop with an extra column appended to the end that will contain the vertical lookup data.
