Overview:
Davtri fScanner for short is a fast, cocoa, finger-printing port scanner. The application will scan for open ports in the range or list you provide and return which ports are open and which services are registered to run on those ports. For some ports, it will also list services which are often found on a given port even though they are not registered to run on those ports. The application also allows you to save the report it generates to a text file for additional analysis or reporting later. The application is multi-threaded and has a low socket timeout so that you are less likely to get "hung up" when scanning due to lack of response. This is a problem with a lot of scanners. Everyone who has tested this application has found it to be faster than the scanner which comes with network utility on OS X and also found that it identifies services much better.
