CANVAS 9 Scientific Imaging Edition offers all the features of the Professional Edition plus advanced image processing tools and direct import of DICOM format files. CANVAS 9 Scientific Imaging Edition is the first product of its kind to incorporate an extensive array of image processing tools to accurately measure, analyze, import, and export precision digital images with up to 32 bits of floating point pixel data per channel. This edition opens up a world of possibilities for life scientists, researchers, engineers, students, astronomers, and other professionals who regularly gather, analyze data from scientific imagers, scanners and custom data collection instruments and need to share their findings. Graphic design professionals that work within technical fields can also benefit greatly from these new capabilities. In addition to CANVAS 9's full complement of vector illustration, image editing, page layout, web graphics, and presentation features, the Scientific Imaging Edition adds support for 8-bit, 16-bit and FP32 Real images, over a dozen Image-J and NIH Image compliant filters, direct access to the numeric image data, and support for industry standard DICOM format files.
