Overview:

Simple instructions: Drop an empty folder onto the Override icon. Long, involved explanation: iPhoto Override is a super-simple, but powerful iPhoto Library manager. Use it to split up the default photo library by starting NEW libraries with Override. Heres how: 1) The easiest way to make a new library is by creating an empty folder in the finder. Give this new folder a name for example, Espionage Memories 2) Drag the newly created folder onto Overrides icon. You are given the option to make this library double-clickable. (So you may simply double-click the library to open it in iPhoto.) Note: iPhoto opens... but this time notice that the Library is empty. Dont Panic! Your photos are still in your main library. 4) Quit iPhoto, and then quit Override. (This leaves your main library as the default. Reverse the quitting order to assign a new default library.) 5) Now launch iPhoto and you will see all your photos again. 6) Export photos from your iPhoto Library (that you wish to be in their own, separate library) into a temporary folder. 7) Double-click Espionage Memories. Import any photos that you would like to have in this new library! Its a ridiculously easy-to-use program. But if you have persistent trouble figuring it out, please consider donating your Mac to a nearby school or any other worthy organization. History: Version 4.0 (2004-02-10) Total rewrite. Tested with iPhoto v2 and v4 using Panther OS X.3.2 Version 4.0.1 (2004-02-12) Fixed links in help window. Version 4.0.2 (2004-02-22) Fixed ability to launch the default library (thru Override). Restored close window keyboard command.
