Overview:
Perl is a popular scripting language that is used for a variety of purposes. Perl runs on many platforms, and is used heavily in web development and system administration tasks. For more information, go to http://www.cpan.org. This package is distributed in two forms, a threaded and a non-threaded version. If you are planning to use Perl DBI, you will need to get the non-threaded package. The primary download URL is for the threaded version, while the alternate URL is for the non-threaded package.
